WoW: Learning from and in World of Warcraft

Many people will have heard of the World of Warcraft, the massively multi-player online role-play game. Fewer may think of it as a marvellour opportunity for rich learning, and as a context in whihc to develop valuable real-world skills of leadership, collaboration, planning and problem solving. This event - an afternoon workshop to get things started, followed by a series of online explorations in the game - will introduce those new to the game to some of these possibilities. Everyone is welcome, but students on our online distance programmes will be particularly welcome to the online in-world meetings.

PLEASE NOTE: Participants should make contact with the Event Organiser before the day and by Friday 12 February at the latest. Please e-mail Hamish Macleod at H.A.Macleod@ed.ac.uk
