For those of you who would like to brush up on your conversational, general chatting, English skills, Conversation Cafe is a way to practice. Come along to meet your classmates in a social, judgement free, cake-fueled environment. You will get to meet with people you've hopefully not met before and get to know your peers. The aims are to chat freely, although we will provide some talking points to get your started. We all know the importance of networks, come along and get yours off to a flying start.

We would love to get to know everyone in an informal setting, we also all love pizza! Pick the date that suits you, and come along for a slice (or few) of pizza and meet some of your colleagues and staff who will be working with you throughout your time here.

I will talk through the kind of projects we offer, and the system we use to select and allocate projects. Taking place within the unique location of the Fire Station at Edinburgh College of Art, the event 'Un-doing as Contemporary Practice' will involve talks and presentations of work by artists Karen Cunningham and Jonathan Owen who both, in different ways, employ processes of 'un-doing', such as dismantling and reduction in the making of their works. These will be responded to by Anthropologist Dr Tom Boylston and further discussed within informal group activities.

In response, we are inviting you to this online event, that is a place to have a conversation about “My Happy Place” during the Covid-19 lock down. It could be a corner of your home or a nearby place you pass during your daily walks, no matter where it is, it is the place that has made you happy during the lock down.
